Excavation

It was really exciting to see where the house was actually going to sit. There was a lot of debate on this, but in the end, it was decided that the safest and most practical place to put it was exactly where it sits.

Fill & Wait... and wait

Though it's truly hard to decide where the construction of our new home began- the architectural design, the purchasing of the land, or the actual permits themselves- we decided that this was the easiest place to start. The fill and wait. Our building permit could not be approved without it and this is when excavation was started to prepare for our new home. ... it delayed our building and the weather delayed it, but all in all the fields turned out great. The permit was approved and we were ready to move to the next phase.
